The word chocolate comes from the Aztecs in Mexico and they associated it with the God of fertility, no wonder where these aphrodisiac legends come from lol. Now, Chocolate comes from the Cacao tree which is native of South America, so there is a relationship between chocolate and myself lmao!. Finally some scientific research shows that dark chocolate eaten in moderation ( no more than a daily Hershey's kiss) reduce the blood pressure without gaining weigh ;). More here. The Queen Elizabeth 2 liner

The longest Ocean liner (1132 ft/345 Meters long) and second largest sea ship ever built (2003) after "Freedom of the seas" (2006) is arguably the most famous (named after HM Queen Elizabeth 2) . According the Cunard website (owner of the ship) , It contains 13 spacious decks to carry 2592 guests on which to relax and unwind; to indulge in pleasures and pursuits you never normally have time for. Opulent public areas, extravagant dining rooms, ballrooms, theatres, lounges...even the only Planetarium at sea lol.
This liner was in Sydney last year and reminded me, by watching it on the news, a cruise I did in the Caribbean sea when I was 12 years old which I enjoyed very much. Have you ever been in a cruiser/liner yourself?

I find these Horoscope signs entertaining, to say the least. I was born on the 31st of August, so I am Virgo, the general characteristic of this sign are to be methodical, industrious and with attention to the detail , high sense of duty, we are also known in fact-finding as well as fair and balanced in our assessments. All these general characteristics sound good to me. Now I found in Blogthings a quiz in what sign I should be:
What Sign Should You Be?
and I turned out to be Capricorn lol, so I went to the Net to find out the general characteristic of this Sign, which are: Hard workers, ambitious and determined, goals oriented, efficient, organized and won't make a lot of waves. I find these characteristics a bit similar to the ones for Virgo so I can understand why it missed my real sign. Any way have a go to see what you get lol.
Now I installed the Horoscope gadget in my Space and since then I have tried to see if it is useful in any way such as prediction of things to come and how to deal with it for my daily life, so I have been reading it almost everyday and my conclusion for this particular gadget is that it is..

If anyone without royal blood really deserved the nickname "The king" that was Elvis Aaron Presley (1935-1977) , I am a fan of Rock and Roll music and well the king was not just a great singer but also a greater performer , an all around talent recognised and praised by his peers (also fans) such as John Lennon and Bob Dylan. Even at the end of his career wearing white jumpsuit, obesity and substance abuse can not diminish his status as 'The King". Billions of records sold, 3 Grammies, 31 singles which have been number 1 in either US or UK, the legacy of Elvis Presley remains as alive as the man himself is dead.

Tarot cards

For my surprise Tarot cards are used throughout much of Europe to play just games lol. It is manly in English speaking countries that the Tarot cards are used to predict the future. What makes us so naive? I do not know. The other day I saw a TV show named Penn & Teller: BS, yeah BS means what you are thinking Ja Ja, in this show they hired 3 different Tarot readers to predict the future of a person who turned out to be an actor playing different roles to what he is in real life, none of these Tarot readers guessed that, they predicted his future based in the character he was playing at the moment , amazingly one of the Tarot readers charged 120US$ for one hour work lol. What do you reckon about Tarot fortune tellers? anyway here is a joke:

Debbie visited a psychic of some local repute. In a dark and gloomy room, gazing at the tarot cards laid out before her, the tarot reader delivered the bad news:

"There's no easy way to say this, so I'll just be blunt - prepare yourself to be a widow. Your husband will die a violent and horrible death this year."

Visibly shaken, Jennifer stared at the woman's lined face, then at the single flickering candle, then down at her hands. She took a few deep breaths to compose herself.

The Green Hornet coming up to the movies!

As a kid I rather watched "The Green Hornet" on TV than "Batman". The Hornet was cooler than Batman with a deadly assistant in "Kato" rather than the sissy "Robin" and his "Holly whatever" lol. In fact, the role "Kato" opened the stardom gate to Bruce Lee. For TV viewers was our first contact with martial arts and Lee became the movie king in the 70s. For the one who does not know "The Green Hornet" was very much like Batman a normal but tough human being who anonymously (by wearing a mask) fought the crime with the only help of his wealth, gadgets , and a sidekick , for the hornet the only who knew his real identity (a multi millionaire owner of several enterprises including the local newspaper) were his beautiful secretary and the district attorney ( For Batman was only his butler) . However, The Hornet was a darker character than Batman as he most of the time tried to look to be another gangster to get closer to the underworld big bosses to nail them lmao. Finally, after a lot of time of waiting, this year the "Green Hornet" movie will be filmed to be shown on theathers on 2009 :). Who is your favourite super hero?

Red wine

Drinking up to 2 glasses of red wine a day is good for your health according some medical studies such the one that suggests that protects you against heart diseases manly due the fact that Resveratrol, found in grape skins and seeds, increases the good cholesterol and prevent blood clotting.

Another suggests that the Resveratrol might even help you live longer lol. So here you have something to cheers about ;)

Well, it is almost Friday for me so here we go with a red wine bottle joke:

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident, and it's a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished. Amazingly, neither of them are hurt.

After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, "So you're a man, that's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left but fortunately we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."

The man replied, "I agree with you completely. This must be a sign from God!"

The woman continued, "And look at this, here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of red wine didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."

She then hands the bottle to the man. The man shakes his head in agreement, opens it and takes several swigs from the bottle and then hands it back to the woman. The woman takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.

The man asks, "Aren't you having any?" The woman replies, "No. I think I'll just wait for the police..." LMAO

Merengue music

Merengue is the official music of Dominican Republic. Now , this was my favourite type of music for dancing when I was young, maybe because it was easier to learn and dance than Salsa. For me if the Salsa is hot, the Merengue is cool. The best Merengue singers of course are from Dominic Republic but the one you are listening comes from Venezuela (My native country), Roberto Antonio, I hope you like him.

That was the introduction of my second favourite TV show when I was a kid "Star Trek " now at difference of my first one "The Green Hornet" it lasted no only more than one season but had several spins off and even movies. In fact, it is still very much alive with a very large Fan club which has conventions almost every weekend some where on Earth lol.

St Patrick's is the Saint patron of Ireland and even the origin of the celebration is religious however it has evolved into more of a secular holiday lol or, rather, "be an Irish Day " and the Irish has borne it as part of their national tradition in everywhere they populated and prospered. Here in Australia we have a few of either Iris migrants or descendants so you can see a lot of green , tri-leafed shamrock, and even some leprechauns Ja Ja
Most of Irish jokes include drunks so here we go
Two old drunks on their way home from the pub, were stumbling up the country road in near darkness, "Seamus, I think we've stumbled into the graveyard - look, I can see a stone here that says a man lived to 105!"

"Glory be Malarki, was it anybody we knew?"

I liked the "Mission Impossible" TV shows and movies but after seen a few, I think that it is time to raise the bar one more notch, so here is an idea for the next mission of Ethan Hunt:

Aussie Christmas!

Christmas in Australia is hot because is celebrated during the Summer months but still we have Christmas Trees, Santa Claus, Christmas Carols and gifts which are familiar to those who live in the North. Now, as a difference, Christmas Dinner may be a barbeque in the backyard or a picnic on a beach lol. Champagne instead of eggnog and Pavlova instead of Plum Pudding ;)
The big events of the Christmas season, in down under, are the Carols By Candlelight in different towns which began in Melbourne in 1937 and are outdoor concerts in the warm summer evening's where people sit on blankets light candles and join together to sing Christmas Carols.
Furthermore, for young Aussies, Christmas mean…SUN….SHOPPING… BEACH (Surfing) , now 70% of Australians are either Catholic, Anglican or Lutheran so for many here it is a time for remembering the birth of Jesus indeed. Amazingly, for me, at 49 years old, Christmas still means ..SUN…SHOPPING…BEACH Ha Ha no just kidding , Christmas is a truly time of love, peace and goodwill to all.

Finally how do we say Merry Christmas in down under?
